Woman Dies in Dagenham Stabbing Horror
Police were scrambled at 9.35am on Sunday, October 30, after reports of a stabbing on Auriel Avenue, Dagenham. Emergency crews found two women injured.
One Dead, One Hurt in Shocking Attack
A woman believed to be in her 60s was pronounced dead at the scene. Another woman, thought to be in her 30s, was rushed to hospital with stab wounds but her injuries are not life-threatening.
28-Year-Old Man Held Over Murder and GBH
A 28-year-old man walked into an east London police station and was arrested on suspicion of murder and grievous bodily harm. He remains in custody as officers say all parties involved knew each other.
Police Appeal for Information
“This is a truly shocking incident that has left one woman dead and a second with serious injuries and will understandably cause concern within the local community,” said Detective Superintendent Richard Vandenbergh.
“It appears this was an isolated incident confined to a single address. Residents will see a large police presence as specialist teams gather evidence. Local officers are on the ground—if you have any concerns or information, talk to them.”
