Pedestrian Seriously Injured in East Road Crash
A dark grey Kia smashed into a 27-year-old man from Southsea on Eastern Road at 5pm Sunday, leaving him with serious injuries.
The victim remains in a critical condition at Queen Alexandra Hospital, confirmed police.
Woman Arrested Over Drug-Driving and Assault
Hampshire police have arrested a 26-year-old woman from Waterlooville. She’s held on suspicion of drug-driving and causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
She remains in police custody as officers hunt for witnesses to the crash.

Emergency Crews Rush to Scene
South Central Ambulance Service sent two ambulance crews, a paramedic officer, and the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance to the scene. They treated two people, with one rushed to hospital with serious injuries.
The crash closed Eastern Road for several hours, between Airport Service Road and Tangier Road, near Burrfields Road junction.
