Toddler Tragically Dies After Suspected Dog Attack in Milnrow

Officers rushed to Carr Lane, Milnrow, at around 1.15pm on Sunday after ambulance crews reported a child had been injured. The toddler was rushed to hospital but was sadly pronounced dead.

No Arrests Yet as Police Probe Shocking Death

So far, no arrests have been made. Police are investigating the tragic circumstances, including previous incidents at the same home involving the dog.

“This is a tragic, devastating incident and our thoughts are with the family at this horrendous time,” said Detective Superintendent Jamie Daniels from the force’s public protection and serious crime division.

“While our inquiries are in the very early stages, we believe the little boy sadly died from injuries inflicted by a dog attack.”

“We understand this news will deeply shock the local community. We are working relentlessly to get to the bottom of what happened, now treating this as a criminal investigation.”
