Pedestrian Killed in Hit-and-Run Horror in Northumberland Park
Just after midnight on Sunday, June 26, tragedy struck in Northumberland Park, N17. A 62-year-old man was fatally hit by a van near the junction with Trulock Road.
Emergency teams rushed to the scene, but despite their best efforts, the victim was pronounced dead on the spot. Police are now notifying his next of kin.
Van Driver Flees Scene, Arrest Made
The driver didn’t stop after the collision, fleeing the scene. Police tracked down the van nearby and arrested a man in his 30s.
Roads and Transport Policing Command detectives with the Met have launched a full investigation.
