Two Sexual Assaults Reported in UB5 Underpass
Police were scrambled to Church Road, UB5 at 9.28am on Wednesday, 10 August, after a woman reported a sexual assault.
The alleged attack took place just after 5am in the underpass at White Hart roundabout. Officers quickly established a crime scene and launched a full investigation.
Second Victim Comes Forward
Later the same day, another woman approached officers, claiming she was raped at the same underpass around midnight.
Police believe both assaults are connected.
“We are doing everything we can to support these women and investigate these allegations,” said Detective Constable Stephen Gayfer.
“Our inquiries have pinpointed a man caught on CCTV. We urgently need to identify and speak with him.”
“If you recognise this man or saw anything suspicious near the underpass, please come forward.”
