Police Called After Sounds Heard Inside Trailer
Emergency services rushed to Ocean Boulevard, Stanford-le-Hope, after reports of noises coming from a lorry trailer.
Police confirmed they were alerted just before 4.30pm on Tuesday, 13 October.
Four Men and Teenage Boy Discovered Inside
Officers opened the trailer to find four men and a teenage boy crammed inside.
Lorry Driver Arrested on Immigration Charges
The 26-year-old driver was immediately detained on suspicion of assisting unlawful immigration.
“He remains in police custody,” police said.
