Man Fatally Stabbed Outside Peckham Barber
Detectives have launched a murder probe after a man was fatally stabbed outside a barber shop in Southwark.
Police were called to reports of a brawl outside House of Ramish2 on Choumert Road, near Rye Lane, at around 3.15pm on Friday, 17 December.
Officers found the victim with stab wounds and rushed him to a south London hospital. Sadly, despite best efforts, 27-year-old Jobari Gooden was declared dead at 6.08pm. His family have been informed and are receiving support.
Investigation Underway as Police Urge Witnesses to Speak Up
Detective Chief Inspector Brian Howie, leading the investigation, appealed to anyone who saw the attack to come forward immediately.
“This happened in broad daylight in busy Peckham Rye. We believe many people witnessed the fight, the knife used, and the suspect’s escape route. With Christmas just a week away, another family is hurting – please do the right thing and help us catch the killer,” he said.
He added that witnesses can contact the police via 101 quoting reference CAD 4252/17Dec or remain anonymous by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
