Shock CCTV Shows Man Punching Dog Outside Montrose Street Shop
The Scottish SPCA is hunting a man caught on CCTV abusing a dog outside a shop on Montrose Street. The chilling footage, taken on 10 October, was spotted by a concerned passer-by.
Tall Blonde Man Spotted Hitting Collie
Witnesses describe the suspect as a tall, lean bloke in his early to mid-twenties with blonde hair, wearing a navy hoodie. Locals believe he lives nearby.
The black and white collie, young and visibly shaken, was tied up outside the shop. The man stormed out, punched the dog three times, leaving it cowering and collapsing to the ground.
Passer-by Confronts Man’s Shocking Excuse
When questioned, the man claimed the dog was chewing its lead and that was why he hit it. But after untying the terrified dog and returning inside, the animal’s fear was clear.
Scottish SPCA Chief Inspector Laura McIntyre slammed the attack, saying, “No animal should be subjected to physical violence, and this is not the correct way to train any animal displaying unwanted behaviour.”
