High-speed police chase ends with drugs bust in Wiltshire

Wiltshire Police are hunting witnesses and dash cam footage after a dramatic fail-to-stop incident near Corsham on October 1.

110mph chase cuts through four villages

Officers chased a speeding vehicle between 1pm and 2pm through Yatton Keynell, Castle Combe, Acton Turville, and Old Sodbury. The reckless driver hit speeds over 110mph, even using the motorway hard shoulder, before exiting the M4 at Junction 18 where the Roads Policing Unit took over.

Stinger stops the suspect in Hullavington

A stinger was deployed, bringing the car to a halt in Hullavington. Both occupants were arrested on the spot.

  • Driver: Man in his 30s, arrested for dangerous driving, failing to stop, possession of cocaine, and drug driving. Released under investigation pending blood test results.
  • Passenger: 16-year-old girl, arrested for possession of a Class A drug. She has been released on bail.
