Hit-and-Run Horror on NW8 Zebra Crossing: Police Hunt Black BMW Driver
Detectives are on the hunt for witnesses after a serious hit-and-run on Prince Albert Road, NW8. The incident happened just before 6pm on Friday, 9 February, when a black BMW – believed to be a 3 Series – struck a pedestrian crossing at a zebra crossing.
Man Left Fighting for Life After Collision
The victim, a 30-year-old man, sustained severe injuries including a punctured lung, broken ribs, and vertebra damage. Thankfully, he has now been discharged from hospital but is facing a slow recovery.
Driver Overtook Just Before the Crash
The black BMW was heading westbound and attempted to overtake another vehicle just before the pedestrian crossing. PC Sukhvinder Rai urged the driver or anyone with information to come forward. He said:
“Someone out there knows exactly what they have done and are living with the thought that they have seriously injured an innocent pedestrian. If a friend or family member has disclosed what happened, or if you’ve noticed unusual damage to a BMW with a dodgy explanation, please contact police.”
