Armed police and ambulances swarmed a property on Bill Street Road this morning. The dramatic scene even saw the Kent and Sussex Air Ambulance landing at nearby Church Green.
False Alarm Sparks Full Emergency Response
A Kent Police spokesman revealed officers rushed to the address around 11am after reports of a possible weapon-related incident. But on arrival, they discovered it was a medical emergency – with no weapon in sight.
“Emergency services, including armed officers, were sent to an address in Bill Street 1 around 11am this morning after receiving a report of a possible incident involving a weapon. On arrival, the incident was found to be a medical one, and no weapon was found.” – Kent Police Spokesman
