Drone Drama on Hayling Island: Four Men Arrested Over Fake Firearms
Police swooped on Hayling Island tonight after frantic reports of a man pointing what looked like a gun at a drone.
Armed Police Called to Beachfront Standoff
At 5.45pm on September 4, officers were alerted to the beachfront near Pebble Beach Cafe. Locals spotted a drone buzzing overhead and saw a man aiming what appeared to be a firearm at it.
Four Men in Custody After Firearm-Like Weapons Seized
Armed Response units quickly arrived on scene. They arrested four men suspected of firearm offences and confiscated two weapons resembling guns.
All suspects remain in custody as inquiries continue.
