Warning After Suspicious Car Incident Near Portchester School
Girl Approached by Strange Driver Near Wicor Primary
Just after 3:30pm on Monday, a Year 5 pupil was walking alone outside Portchester Hatherley Crescent near Wicor Primary School when a black saloon car pulled up beside her. The driver, described as a white middle-aged man, opened the passenger door and asked if the girl was ‘1’, then beckoned her to get in.
Quick-Thinking Pupil Walked Away and Told Parents
Thankfully, the girl didn’t get in. She sensibly kept walking and quickly told her parents, who were waiting nearby.
Police Launch Investigation – Witnesses Urged to Speak Up
Hampshire Police have been informed and spoke with the girl. Her father has asked for the incident to be shared widely on social media to help catch the driver.
