Body Found After Dramatic Forklift Door Smash in Ebbsfleet Valley Home

Police Forced Entry Into £500k New-Build

Kent Police made a shocking discovery after using a forklift truck to smash down the front door of a £500,000 home on a new Redrow estate in Ebbsfleet Valley, Swanscombe. The dramatic forced entry happened just after 2.30pm on Friday afternoon on Emmeline Avenue.

Welfare Concern Sparks Emergency Response

The intense police operation followed a welfare concern report to authorities. Officers arrived with paramedics at the scene, but the front door was heavily barricaded — forcing the police to call in a forklift to break their way inside.

“They tried to bash the door down but it wouldn’t budge. Then they went to the building site for a forklift and smashed their way in,” a stunned neighbour said.

Tragic Discovery and Ongoing Investigation

Inside the home, paramedics responded but it was confirmed sadly that it was too late to save the occupant. Forensic officers spent hours photographing the scene and gathering evidence.

Later that evening, just after 7pm, a private ambulance was seen removing a person believed to be the property owner.

Kent Police remain tight-lipped but officers continue to guard the house as inquiries unfold.
