Liverpool Assault Horror: CCTV Released to Find Crucial Witness

Detectives in Liverpool have released CCTV images amid a serious investigation into a vicious assault that rocked the city centre over the August Bank Holiday weekend.

Brutal Attack in Liverpool City Centre

The violent episode happened at around 4.50am on Sunday, August 27, on Back Colquitt Street, behind the FACT cinema. A man in his 30s was punched square in the face, sending him crashing backwards. He hit the back of his head hard on the pavement.

The victim suffered severe head injuries and is still receiving hospital treatment. Police warn he remains in recovery from the nasty impact.

Suspect Flees Scene with Accomplices

After the assault, the suspect fled with two other men. They headed towards Wood Street and Berry Street before jumping into a taxi, disappearing into the early morning.
