Drugs Bust in Canterbury: Man Arrested Over Crack Cocaine

Kent police cracked down on suspected drug dealing in Canterbury on the morning of Wednesday 7 April 2021. Officers from the Community Policing Team were patrolling Kingsmead Road when they spotted suspicious activity.

One Arrested, Class A Drugs Seized

Three men were approached, leading to the arrest of a 20-year-old on suspicion of possessing class A drugs with intent to supply. He has since been released under investigation as inquiries continue.

A stash of suspected crack cocaine, cash, and a mobile phone were seized during the swoop.

Police Urge Public to Report Drug Dealing

“Kent Police is committed to disrupting and shutting down the drug dealing networks which target vulnerable people in our communities,” said Acting Sergeant Richard Lorimer. “I am pleased that, in this instance, class A drugs and criminal cash have been removed from circulation in Canterbury.”

“I urge anyone who believes drug dealing is taking place in their area to report it to Kent Police on our website, by calling 101, or by dialling 999 if a crime is in progress.”
