Car Crashes Into Waterlooville Home Porch – Driver Trapped, Minor Injuries

Car Smashes Through Waterlooville Home in Morning Crash

This morning in Waterlooville, a silver Vauxhall Corsa crashed into the porch of a semi-detached house on Silvester Road, causing serious damage. The porch was completely demolished in the smash.

Driver Trapped but Only Minor Injuries

The driver, who owns the Corsa, was trapped in the wreckage but was taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital with minor injuries. Thankfully, no one inside the house was hurt.

Structural Damage Sparks Safety Fears

Structural engineers have been called in to assess the damage. As a safety measure, the electricity supply to the house was cut off. Neighbours said the driver appeared to hit the gas pedal and crashed straight into the porch.

Neighbours Left Shaken by Sudden Crash

Emergency services, including police and ambulance crews, arrived just after 8am following reports of the collision. Nearby residents Peter and Rita Barry, both in their eighties, were shocked by the noise.

“I was just switching on the TV when I heard a hell of a bang and a lot of smashing glass,” said Peter Barry, who has lived in the road for 18 years. “I am just glad that everyone is alright. I know the property has just been sold.”
