Man Arrested Over Sexual Assault in Secluded Tilgate Park Woods
Shock in Crawley’s Tilgate Park
A 42-year-old man from Crawley has been arrested after a woman was reportedly sexually assaulted in a remote part of Tilgate Park. The incident happened around 4.10pm on Thursday, April 10, in a wooded area near the M23 motorway.
Suspect Bailed Amid Investigation
Sussex Police swooped and arrested the man on suspicion of sexual assault. He’s now out on bail with strict conditions, pending further enquiries, until July 11. So far, the victim has not been identified.
Police Urge Witnesses to Step Forward
A Sussex Police spokesperson said: “We are working to establish the full circumstances of this incident and would like to speak with anyone who may have witnessed anything suspicious in or around Tilgate Park at the time.”
