Police Hunt Man After Teen Girl Sexually Assaulted at Bitterne Bus Stop
Detectives are on the lookout for a man caught on CCTV after a 15-year-old girl was sexually assaulted at a bus stop in Bitterne. The shocking attack happened on Sunday 9 August at around 12.55pm near Bitterne railway station on Bitterne Road West.
Girl Targeted While Waiting for Bus
The victim was waiting alone when the man approached her and inappropriately touched her over her clothes. When the No.18 Blue Star bus arrived, both got on. The man then sat opposite her and tried to speak to her.
The girl later told her mother, who reported the incident to police.
Police Release CCTV Image of Suspect
Officers previously asked for witnesses, but now have a clearer CCTV image of the suspect. He is described as white, aged 30-40, with short black hair and stubble. He was wearing a short-sleeved shirt, jeans, and a grey bum bag.
