Dashcam Footage Sought After Serious Crash on A282 Near Dartford

Serious Collision Shakes Dartford Slip Road

Police are hunting for dashcam footage following a nasty collision between a black Mercedes GLA and a black Honda CB600 motorcycle on the A282 near Dartford. The crash happened at around 7.35pm on Sunday, 20 July 2025, on the slip road for Princes Road. Both vehicles were heading from the Dartford River Crossing towards the A2.

Motorcyclist Seriously Hurt, Mercedes Driver Arrested

Emergency crews rushed to the scene. The motorcyclist suffered serious injuries but has since been discharged from hospital after treatment. The Mercedes driver, a 32-year-old London man, was arrested on suspicion of failing to provide a breath or drug sample and causing serious injury by dangerous driving. He is currently on bail as investigations continue.

Police Launch Urgent Dashcam Appeal

The Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) is appealing for witnesses and drivers with dashcam footage from the A282 or A2 near Dartford at the time of the crash.

“We are particularly keen to hear from motorists with dashcam footage who were travelling along the A282 or A2 in the Dartford area at the time of the collision. Your information could be vital to the investigation.”
