Man Stabbed in Brockwell Park Shocks South London
Police rushed to Effra Parade at 8.17pm on Wednesday, 2 June, following reports of a stabbing. They found a 20-year-old man with a stab wound to his leg.
The victim was swiftly taken to a south London hospital. Thankfully, his injuries were not life-threatening, and he has since been discharged.
Investigation Underway, No Arrests Yet
Officers believe the stabbing happened in nearby Brockwell Park, not far from where the man was found. They’re hunting for witnesses who were in the park around 8pm that evening.
Police are especially eager to track down a man spotted in the area earlier. He’s described as black, about 5ft 11in tall, with a large build, wearing a grey tracksuit and white top with grey writing.
Detective Urges Witnesses to Speak Up
“The park was busy because of the warm weather, and we believe there will be people who saw something or noticed a disturbance,” said Detective Constable Kismet Green.
“We urge anyone with information, no matter how small, to get in touch.”
