Man Shot and Chased in Huyton: Police Hunt Gunman
Police are urgently hunting for witnesses after a man was shot in the leg and foot following a terrifying chase in Huyton last night.
Gunfire Erupts on Brookwood Road
Officers were called just after 9.45pm BST after reports of gunshots and a man screaming on Brookwood Road. They found a 37-year-old man bleeding in the front garden of a house, suffering non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.
Witnesses say the victim was chased into the garden before the gunman opened fire and fled the scene.
Forensics and CCTV Hunt Perpetrator
Crime scene investigators are combing the area for clues while police conduct door-to-door inquiries. CCTV footage from nearby cameras is also being reviewed to track down the shooter.
To reassure locals, high-visibility patrols have been increased in the area.
