Horrific Rape in Wootton Gardens Shakes Dorset Community
Just after 3am on Sunday, October 30, Dorset Police were called to a distressing incident in Wootton Gardens. A woman in her 20s was attacked and raped by four unknown men.
Suspects Described as Turkish Men Wearing Black
The attackers were described as Turkish, all with black beards and dressed entirely in black. The victim is now getting support from specially-trained officers.
Police Launch Major Investigation
Detective Inspector Katie Starkie from Bournemouth CID revealed a full-scale investigation is underway. A police cordon remains at the scene as detectives dig for evidence.
“I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident or noticed suspicious activity in the area to come forward,” DI Starkie said.
“Residents with home CCTV or drivers with dashcam footage are urged to check their recordings for anything that could help our inquiry.”
“There will be increased police presence around the town centre. Officers are available for anyone with information or concerns.”
