Bus Hits Two Kids in Bexleyheath – One Girl Critically Injured

Disaster struck at 9.05am on Saturday, 3 August, when a bus collided with two children on Watling Street near the Halcot Avenue junction in Bexleyheath.

Young Girl in Life-Threatening Condition

The victims are siblings. A nine-year-old girl suffered life-threatening injuries and was rushed to hospital by ambulance. A five-year-old boy was also taken to hospital as a precaution but his condition is not thought to be serious.

Both children were with a family member at the time. Officers are offering support to the shaken family following the horrific crash.

Bus Driver Arrested and Held in Custody

The male bus driver was arrested at the scene and remains in police custody as investigations continue. Witnesses who haven’t spoken to police yet are urged to call 101, quoting reference 2309/03Aug.
