Man Caught on CCTV After Alleged Dance Floor Assault in Liverpool
A man allegedly groped a woman on the dance floor at Tess Riley’s bar on Great Charlotte Street at around 10:15pm on Monday, 18 July. Staff quickly removed him from the venue, but he then headed to St John’s Shopping Centre.
Police Release CCTV Images in Hunt for Suspect
Merseyside Police have launched a full investigation, reviewing extensive CCTV footage and gathering witness statements. Detectives have now released CCTV images of a man they believe holds key information.
“This was a disgraceful attack on a woman,” said Detective Inspector Chris Saidi. “I want to reassure the public incidents like this are rare.”
“The victim was left shaken and distressed. We are taking this matter very seriously and urge the man in the images, or anyone who recognises him, to come forward. He may have crucial info.”
“Supporting victims of sexual assault is vital. Anyone affected should report it to us – we will provide respect and full support throughout.”
