Man Stabbed in Brighton Nighttime Brawl

Police rushed to Montpelier Place, Brighton, at 10.15pm on Wednesday, 4 November after reports of a violent fight.

A 40-year-old local man was stabbed and taken to Royal Sussex County Hospital. He remains in serious but stable condition.

Two Teens Held in Attempted Murder Probe

Two 18-year-old men have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and are currently in custody. They join four other men, aged 18 to 57, previously arrested and now released under investigation.

Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward

Detective Chief Inspector Gordon Denslow of Surrey and Sussex Police said:

“We thank the public for their patience as the investigation continues. This happened in a busy Brighton area, so we appeal for anyone with information — CCTV, dash cam, or mobile footage — to contact us. We believe someone knows what happened and urge them to do the right thing and speak to us immediately. You can also reach out to Crimestoppers confidentially.

“The victim and suspects know each other. This is an isolated incident with no threat to the wider public.”
