Man Arrested in North London Murder Probe
A 28-year-old man was arrested on Friday, 11 August, on suspicion of murder. He remains in custody at a north London police station.
Tragic Discovery on Casselden Road, NW10
Police were called to a residential property on Casselden Road, NW10, at 10:45pm on Thursday, 10 August following concerns for a man’s welfare. Officers forced entry and found a 40-year-old man with head injuries. Sadly, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Murder Investigation Underway
The death is being treated as suspicious. The Met’s Specialist Crime Command has launched a full murder investigation.
Detective Chief Inspector Kelly Allen said: “My thoughts are with the family of the man who has died, and we will do everything we can to support them as our investigation progresses.
“Based on our initial enquiries, we believe this was an isolated incident, and there is no indication of any wider risk to the community.
“I know that incidents like this can have a significant impact on the community. You will notice a visible police presence in the area in the coming days to provide reassurance and respond to any concerns.”
Appeal for Witnesses
The victim’s next of kin have been informed and are being supported by family liaison officers. A post-mortem will take place soon to determine the exact cause of death.
