Sixth Arrest Made in Murder of Ramane Wiggan in Lambeth

Detectives have snapped up a sixth suspect in the deadly shooting of 25-year-old Ramane Wiggan. The latest arrest came on Thursday, 13 June, when a 22-year-old man was detained on suspicion of assisting an offender. He was taken to a London police station for questioning.

Ramane Fatally Shot in West Norwood

Ramane Wiggan, a Tulse Hill resident, was found critically injured with a gunshot wound on Friar Mews, West Norwood, on Wednesday, 27 March. Emergency services rushed to the scene at 4.11pm, but despite their efforts, Ramane died at 4.45pm. A post-mortem confirmed the cause of death as a gunshot wound.

Ongoing Investigation: Multiple Arrests and Appeals

  • Two 27-year-old men were arrested on the day of the shooting but later released without charge.
  • On 24 April, a 19-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder and bailed to return in late July.
  • Another 22-year-old man was arrested on 2 May and bailed until early August.
  • A 43-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and released under investigation.
