Man Arrested Over Brutal Wembley Murder – Witness Sought!

24-Year-Old Surrenders to Police

On Friday, 15 July, a 24-year-old man handed himself in to a north London police station. He was arrested on suspicion of murder but released the next day under investigation. The arrest follows a lengthy probe by the Met’s Specialist Crime Command.

Police Hunting Key Witness After St John’s Road Attack

Detectives have released a CCTV image of a man they want to speak with. He is believed to have witnessed the savage assault near the Job Centre in St John’s Road, Wembley, just before 9pm on 17 December 2021.

Officers stress this man is not a suspect but a vital eye-witness. “Your help could take a dangerous criminal off London’s streets,” said Detective Chief Inspector Jim Eastwood. “We want justice for Petru-Sorin’s grieving family.”

Petru-Sorin’s Tragic Death After Attack

  • Petru-Sorin, 41, was attacked during a fight near the Job Centre, alongside two friends.
  • He fell ill the next morning and was rushed to hospital after being punched in the head.
  • He suffered a serious brain injury and sadly died three months later on 29 March 2022.

His family has endured a painful wait for justice. “It’s been an incredibly tough time for them,” added DCI Eastwood.
