Shock on Florida Roads: Pickup Truck Crashes into Farmworker Bus, Killing 8

Early Tuesday at 6:40am, horror struck on a Florida highway when Bryan Maclean Howard lost control of his 2001 Ford Ranger. The pickup swerved across the centre line and smashed into a bus carrying 53 farmworkers. The crash forced the converted school bus off the road. It ploughed through a fence, hit a tree, then flipped over.

The bus was ferrying workers to Cannon Farms in Dunellon for watermelon harvesting when disaster hit. The grim clash claimed eight lives and left at least 40 injured. Rescue teams rushed to the scene, but the damage was devastating.

Driver Arrested on Serious Charges

Florida Highway Patrol quickly arrested Howard at the scene. He now faces eight counts of DUI manslaughter, a grave charge with harsh penalties. Authorities have yet to announce details of his legal representation.
