Over 200 Arrests Made in Massive Nine-Force Crackdown on Drug Gangs and Road Violence!
In a huge joint operation, police from nine forces smashed county lines gangs terrorising our roads. The Met, Surrey, Kent, Essex, Hertfordshire, Thames Valley, Hampshire, City of London, and British Transport Police teamed up to tackle drug supply and violent crime.
Three Days of Relentless Raids
Over 1,000 officers swept key motorways around London—including the M25, M11, M4, and M20—using ANPR technology and intelligence to target vehicles linked to violent crime.
The operation snared:
- 230 arrests for charges including attempted murder, possession with intent to supply class A and B drugs, weapon possession, assault, and more.
- 22 knives and weapons confiscated.
- 54 vehicles seized.
- 62 illegal items like drugs taken off the streets.
- 6 warrants executed against gang members.
Elite Units Join Forces
The Met’s Violent Crime Taskforce, Operation Venice, Tactical Firearms, Dog Support, and Specialist Crime teams all played a part, alongside roads policing units. This was a showcase of raw police power against organised crime.
Chief Inspector Issues Stark Warning
“Some of the individuals arrested lead dangerous criminal lives and exploit vulnerable people,” said Chief Inspector Jack May Robinson. “We’ve set up a dedicated helpline to ensure victims get the best care and support.
“Operation Pandilla targets the drivers behind violent crime. Drugs fuel violence, and we won’t stop fighting those who exploit children and vulnerable communities. Our message is clear: use the roads for crime and you’ll get caught.”
City Police Vow Zero Tolerance
T/Inspector Myles Hilbery from City of London Police warned: “We take zero tolerance on county lines gangs. These networks exploit children and vulnerable people to push their crime. We’re committed to offering support and hunting down those involved.”
“Even during the pandemic, these gangs are active — and we are not letting up.”
This multi-force blitz sends a strong message to drug runners and violent criminals: the UK’s biggest police forces are united and ready to shut you down.
