E-fit Released After Pensioner Assault and Bag Theft in Maidstone

Detectives have launched an e-fit image of a man wanted for attacking a 69-year-old woman and stealing her handbag in Maidstone. The shocking mugging happened late at night on Sunday, 6 May 2018.

Blow to the Face, Bag Snatched

The victim was walking a footpath from County Hall to Lower Boxley Road at around 11.45pm when the thug struck her in the face. He then grabbed her handbag and fled. Fortunately, she escaped without serious injury.

Who’s the Suspect?

  • Mixed race man, approx. 5ft 6ins tall
  • Black hair with short beard
  • Wearing black hooded top, black tracksuit bottoms, white trainers

She had just walked down Pudding Lane and Week Street before the attack.
