Eastbourne RNLI on Double Duty After Two Call-Outs in Two Days
Eastbourne’s brave volunteer crew sprang into action twice in just 48 hours last week. First, at 8:15am on Sunday 23rd April, they rushed out after reports of mysterious objects off Sovereign Harbour.
False Alarm Turns Out to Be Fishing Buoys
Launching their trusty Inshore Lifeboat, the team quickly discovered the suspicious items were simply harmless fishing marker buoys. With no danger found, the crew stood down and returned to base.
Quick Return to the Waves for Police and Coastguard Support
Not ones to rest, the crew were back at it the very next afternoon, Monday 24th April at 4:30pm. This time, they teamed up with local police and coastguards to assist with an ongoing incident. Once the situation was under control, the crew returned to station.
