Emergency crews were scrambled to Culver Down cliffs just after 1.15pm on Wednesday following a worrying text from a woman in distress. A concerned family member alerted authorities after receiving the message.
Police, Coastguard and Ambulance Join Forces
Officers from Hampshire and Isle of Wight Police teamed up with the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service and HM Coastguard Search and Rescue to respond swiftly and professionally. They worked quickly to locate the woman on the cliff top.
Woman Found and Safe, Emergency Services Stay on Scene
The distressed woman was found safe and has been handed over to Isle of Wight Ambulance Service for care. Despite the rescue being resolved, emergency teams remain at the scene as a precaution.
