Baby Dies in Ruislip Horror Crash – Police Hunt Key Witness

Detectives are urgently appealing for a driver seen near a tragic crash in Ruislip that left a 22-month-old baby girl dead. The deadly collision happened at 4.15pm on Sunday, 25 October, at the junction of Eastcote Road and Kings College Road.

The smash involved a car and three pedestrians, including the toddler who was in a pushchair. Despite desperate attempts by emergency services – including off-duty officers nearby – the little girl was pronounced dead at the scene.

Other Victims Hurt as Man Arrested

A man in his 30s was rushed to hospital in critical condition but has since been discharged and is recovering at home. A woman also suffered injuries, though thankfully hers are not life-threatening. All injured knew one another.

A man in his 40s has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, causing serious injury while driving, and driving under the influence of drugs. He was released on bail after questioning.

Police Seek Driver of Dark 4×4 Pick-Up

Detectives from the Met’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit are now calling on the driver of a dark-coloured 4×4 pick-up seen near the crash to come forward. Detective Sergeant Sarah Donegan said:

“Our thoughts remain with the child’s parents during this unimaginably difficult time. We are appealing directly to this driver as they are likely a vital witness to what happened. Anyone with dashcam footage or who saw anything must contact us.”
