Man in his 40s stabbed to death near Clapham Common Tube

A man in his 40s was fatally stabbed this afternoon just steps from Clapham Common Tube station in South London. The victim was attacked while crossing Clapham Park Road around 2.37pm.

Police launch murder probe

Emergency services rushed to the scene, but paramedics could not save the man, who died at the spot from stab wounds. The victim’s next of kin have yet to be notified.

Detectives from the Homicide and Major Crime Command are now hunting for answers. No arrests have been made so far.

Road closures and warnings for drivers

A crime scene remains cordoned off and road closures in the area could disrupt traffic. Motorists are urged to find alternative routes while investigations continue.

Clapham Common Tube station remains open and unaffected by the incident.
