Massive Blaze Hits Northamptonshire Building

Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service (NFRS) scrambled to a huge fire shortly after 12.30pm today, Monday, May 13. Ten fire engines are battling flames at a massive building measuring roughly 100m by 150m. The fire has torn through all three storeys and the basement.

Local Residents Urged to Stay Indoors

Neighbours have been warned to keep doors and windows firmly shut to avoid nasty smoke exposure. While no injuries have been reported, nearby homes have been evacuated as a precaution.

Police Shut Roads Amid Emergency Efforts

Northamptonshire Police, ambulance crews, and utility teams are on site supporting firefighters. Several key roads are closed, including:

  • Regent Street
  • Wellington Street
  • Havelock Street
  • Rockingham Road at Nelson Street junction

Motorists and pedestrians are advised to steer clear of the area until the situation is under control.
