Woman Seriously Injured in Morning Crash at Lewisham Junction

A woman was rushed to a major trauma centre after a serious incident at the junction of Lewisham Way and Parkfield Road just before 9am.

Emergency Teams Race to Scene

Met Police and London Ambulance Service crews responded swiftly. Paramedics were on site within four minutes and treated the woman before transporting her to hospital. Her condition is currently under assessment.

“We were called at 8:56am and immediately dispatched an ambulance crew, paramedics in a response car, and an incident response officer,” said a London Ambulance Service spokesperson. “Our first paramedics arrived in four minutes, treated the woman on scene, then took her to a major trauma centre.”

Road Closures and Bus Diversions in Place

The area remains cordoned off while police collect evidence. Parkfield Road and Amersham Vale are closed with no reopening date yet. London bus routes 53, 177, 225, and 453 are currently diverted.

Police urge anyone with information to come forward quoting incident CAD1891/24MAY24.
