Massive Party in Kent Crushed by Police
Police swooped on a property in South Street just after midnight on Halloween, stopping a massive party with up to 80 revellers packed inside the house and spilling into the garden.
Huge Bust for Rule-Breaking Students
Officers quickly cleared the crowd, telling non-residents to leave immediately and stressing the importance of sticking to Government lockdown rules. Five residents, aged 19 and 20, were hit with hefty fixed penalty notices.
£10,000 Fines for Flouting Covid Rules
Assistant Chief Constable Claire Nix blasted the reckless partygoers: “The number of people our officers found attending this party was simply unacceptable and they had no option but to take enforcement action.”
Current rules limit social gatherings to six people, indoors or out. Breaching these could not only endanger the spread of Covid but also put vulnerable friends and family at risk.
Kent Police Warns: No More Mr Nice Cop
Nix added: “Kent Police continues to engage, explain, and encourage compliance. But blatant rule-breaking like this means fines and penalties. We know it’s a tough time, and most people are playing by the rules, but Covid-19 is still a deadly threat. Everyone must do their bit to stop the spread and save lives.”
