Crash Chaos in Croydon: Two-Car Smash Closes Road
Emergency services raced to Five Ways, just off Purley Way in Croydon, after a two-car collision erupted shortly after 9pm on Monday, November 6th. The crash involved a Peugeot and a Mercedes.
Firefighters Rescue Trapped Victims
Fire crews from London Fire Brigade arrived quickly, freeing several people trapped inside the vehicles. Paramedics from London Ambulance Service treated the injured at the scene. Officers from the Metropolitan Police in Croydon also attended.
Road Still Shut for Clean-Up
Five Ways remains closed as emergency teams work to clear debris and remove hazardous oil from the road surface. Drivers are advised to avoid the area.
Police Seek Witnesses
Police urge anyone who saw the collision to call 101 with information. Officers are also handling another major crash involving eight vehicles on Gravel Hill that happened earlier at around 7pm.
