Tragic Death of Beloved Father Andy Millward in Horror Lorry Crash
Andy Millward, a much-loved dad in his 40s, died on Thursday after his black Vauxhall collided with an overturned Renault lorry in Strood’s Station Road.
Floral Tributes Pour In at Crash Scene
Family and friends gathered at the traffic lights near the junction with Frindsbury Road to lay flowers and pay their respects. A touching photo of Andy was attached to a lamp post.
“You were more than just an uncle to me; you were the best big brother anyone could ask for,” said one mourner. “I can’t believe you’re no longer with us. I’ll miss your face, smile, laughs, dancing, and times spent with you.”
His sister Selina added, “I keep wondering why you were taken from us in such a tragic accident. I adore you. Sleep tight, you will always be in our thoughts and hearts.”
Investigation Underway as Man Arrested
Andy’s heartbroken mum Freda Law said, “My son was adored. He also leaves behind his three daughters and a large family.”
A 40-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by reckless driving but was later released on bail until early next year. Kent Police’s serious collision investigation unit is probing the crash.
Police Seek Witnesses and Dashcam Footage
Officers urge anyone who saw the crash or has dashcam or CCTV footage to come forward. Dashcam evidence can be submitted online.
