Bladed Weapon Found After Shocking Assault Near Seafront
At 5:07pm on Friday, June 10, chaos erupted on Margate’s High Street close to the seafront. Four or five attackers pounced on another group before vanishing into the evening crowds. Armed officers raced to the scene and recovered a bladed weapon, but thankfully no one was hurt and no arrests have been made so far.
Police Launch Urgent Appeal for Witnesses and Footage
Detective Inspector Vanessa Law from Margate CID is desperate for help. “We are appealing for any witnesses to come forward. Some people in the area might have video footage on their phones, and we urge them to contact us,” she said.
She added: “Motorists with dashcams and nearby businesses or residents with CCTV should check their recordings. Any footage could be crucial for our investigation.”
