Two Women Arrested After Brutal London Stabbing Leaves Man Fighting for Life

A 36-year-old man is in a critical condition after being stabbed in central London early Monday morning. Police have arrested two women in connection with the violent attack.

Stabbing on Brook Street Near Oxford Street

The terrifying attack happened at around 3:30 AM on Brook Street, close to the busy Oxford Street. Emergency crews found the victim with serious stab wounds. He was rushed to hospital where medics confirmed his injuries are life-threatening.

Arrests Made in Eltham

Just over two hours later, at 5:40 AM, police stopped a vehicle in Eltham linked to the stabbing. Two women, aged 34 and 39, were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

  • The 39-year-old faces extra charges for driving while unfit due to drugs.
  • She is also accused of possessing cannabis, a Class B drug.

Investigation Continues

Police have sealed off the crime scene on Brook Street while detectives dig deeper into what led to the stabbing. Authorities are urging anyone who saw or heard anything to come forward immediately.

Police Statement

“On Monday, 30 December at around 03:30hrs, officers were called to Brook Street, W1, following reports of a stabbing,” a Metropolitan Police spokesperson said.

“A 36-year-old man was taken to hospital by ambulance where his condition has been assessed as life-threatening.”

“At 05:49hrs, a vehicle was stopped in Eltham in relation to this incident. Two women, aged 34 and 39, were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. The 39-year-old woman was also arrested for driving while unfit through drugs and possession of cannabis.”

“A crime scene remains in place while the investigation is ongoing.”
