Four Guns and Drugs Seized in Major London Police Raids

London’s streets are safer after cops seized four guns, hundreds of bullets, and a stash of drugs and cash in two dramatic busts on 30 April. Specialist officers from the Met’s Crime Command hit hot spots in Brent and Lambeth, striking a heavy blow against violent crime.

Brixton Chase Ends with Cannabis and Firearms Arrests

At 1.35pm in Brixton Road, police ordered a moped to stop. The 28-year-old rider sped off, sparking a short pursuit. Cops caught him and found a large amount of cannabis. He was arrested on multiple serious charges including possession with intent to supply, dangerous and drug driving, and failing to stop.

These two fantastic jobs resulted in four lethal weapons being taken off the streets of London,” said Commander Craig Turner.

While being processed, the man shouted to a second individual across the road. That man took off running but was nabbed near Crammer Road. Officers searched his linked address and vehicle in SW2, uncovering a Scorpion submachine gun, a revolver, and around 100 rounds of ammo. The 30-year-old was locked up for conspiracy to supply drugs and firearm possession.

Huge Cocaine Haul and More Guns Found in Brent

North London saw another major stop when officers detained a 24-year-old in Silverston Way, Brent. A search of him and his car revealed about half a kilo of cocaine. After his arrest on suspicion of possession with intent to supply, detectives raided his home, uncovering two submachine guns, live ammo, roughly one kilo of cocaine, cash, and drug gear.

The Brent suspect faces further charges including firearm possession and handling criminal property.

Police Promise Tough Action on Gun and Drug Crime

Commander Turner added: “Every round of ammunition we seize could have been a life lost. These cases show the deadly link between drugs and violence. We are relentless in hunting down those behind gun crime and organised drug dealing, even in these challenging times.”

Both pairs of suspects remain in custody as Trident detectives continue their investigations.
