One of London’s busiest shopping hotspots, Regent Street, was plunged into lockdown after a suspicious package was found inside the iconic Hamleys toy store.

Shoppers Evacuated Amid Bomb Alert

Around 3pm, terrified shoppers were ordered to evacuate the world-famous Hamleys. The Met Police quickly cordoned off a large section of the West End street to handle the unfolding security scare.

Bomb Squad Called In

Specialist Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) officers have been deployed to investigate the suspicious package. The Met confirmed officers responded to reports and are currently seeking further advice as the situation develops.
