Stolen Donkey Drama in Wales: Family Urges Return Before “Broken Heart” Tragedy

A beloved 20-year-old donkey named Winston has been stolen from a Carmarthenshire field, sparking a desperate appeal from his heartbroken family. The retired Blackpool donkey vanished on December 9th from Taliaris, Llandeilo, and his owners fear he could die from heartbreak without his companion, Rudy.

Trusting Donkey Snatched Over Christmas

Amy Doran, 39, and her family moved from Kent to Wales, and have cared for Winston and Rudy ever since. They were away for the 1 when Winston, known for his trusting nature, disappeared.

“We think someone might have taken him for a nativity play or Christmas event,” Amy said, “but they don’t realise how dangerous this is for him.”

Donkey May Die From Separation, Family Warns

Donkeys suffer deeply from separation anxiety. Amy explained,

“What the person probably doesn’t realise is that donkeys can die from separation, they can die from a broken heart. They don’t realise the after-effects.”

Since Winston’s disappearance, Rudy has been visibly distressed. The family fears for Winston’s wellbeing if they remain apart.

Heartbreaking Plea From Young Daughter

Amy’s four-year-old daughter, Bella, has launched a tear-jerking plea on social media holding a sign: “Dear Santa, this Christmas please bring my donkey home.” The message has spread like wildfire on Facebook, drawing widespread sympathy and sharing.

The whole family, especially Bella and her three-year-old sister Gracie, are devastated by the loss of their cherished pet.

£1,000 Reward Offered for Winston’s Safe Return

Desperate to reunite, the family is offering a £1,000 reward. Amy said bluntly,

“I don’t care if somebody dumps him in a field. All I care about is getting him back.”

If you have any information on Winston’s whereabouts, please come forward. This Christmas could be a miracle if Winston returns home safe and sound.
