Tragic Crash on A20 Claims Young Woman’s Life
Just before 11pm on Saturday, February 11, chaos struck the A20 near Gorse Hill. A red VW Polo GTI heading towards Farningham smashed head-on into a white Mercedes Sprinter coming from the opposite direction near Eglantine Lane.
Darcy, Late Teens, Dies at Scene
Emergency crews from the South East Coast Ambulance Service raced to the scene. Sadly, a female passenger in the VW, known only as Darcy from South East London, was declared dead on impact. Her family visited this morning to leave flowers at the crash site.
Four others in the VW were rushed to hospital. Two remain, with one in serious but stable condition and the other stable.
Two Men Arrested Over Fatal Collision
The drivers of both vehicles were detained and later released on bail. They face charges of causing death by dangerous driving and must return to police for further questioning.
Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward
Kent Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) is hunting for witnesses. Anyone with dashcam or CCTV footage, or who saw the crash, should contact SCIU urgently.
