An HGV driver was busted blowing over three times the legal drink drive limit at Southampton docks on Monday morning.
Early Morning Arrest After Tip-Off
Police acted fast after receiving a tip-off about a suspected drink driver. They spotted the lorry at 8:45am and immediately stopped it.
Failing Breath Test on the Spot
The driver flunked a roadside breath test and was promptly arrested. At Southampton Central Police Station, the breathalyser revealed his alcohol level was more than three times the legal limit.
Facing a Ban and Hefty Fine
Now, the driver has been reported for summons and is expected to face a driving ban along with a substantial fine. No excuses will fly for this dangerous stunt on the roads.
