Not Linked to Terrorism
Police have made it clear this horrific incident is not terrorism-related and is separate from a pre-planned counter-terror operation carried out later that evening in Rochdale, which led to the arrest of a 40-year-old Iranian man on suspicion of preparing a terrorist act.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
“Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the woman who has sadly died. This is a devastating incident, and our investigation is ongoing,” said a GMP spokesperson.
