International Hunt Launched for Missing Wimbledon Teen Serena Alexander-Benson
Detectives have launched a cross-border search for 13-year-old Serena Alexander-Benson, who vanished from Wimbledon and is believed to have travelled to Poland with a family friend.
Disappearance Mystery: Last Seen Leaving Home
Serena was last seen around 7:50am on Friday, 25 May, leaving her Wimbledon home. She told her father she was heading to school but never arrived. Police soon discovered she had left the UK that very morning.
EuroTunnel Escape to Poland
Investigators confirmed Serena travelled through Folkestone on a EuroTunnel train, accompanied by a Polish female friend of her mother. The woman, a Polish national, reportedly lives in Poland, where Serena’s mum also resides.
Police Coordination Across Borders
Wandsworth CID officers are working closely with the National Crime Agency and Polish authorities to track Serena’s exact location. Detectives are tight-lipped about the details of Serena’s route or current status but stress their priority is to confirm she is safe.
“Our focus currently is to find Serena and ensure her welfare,” a police spokesperson said. “Any potential criminal offences will be investigated at the appropriate time.”
Anyone with information is urged to contact the police immediately.
